Polytechnica - Journal of Technology Education publishes papers in the field of educational science, social sciences and substrate sciences related to the technology education.

The journal deals with a wide range of issues and problems of the context, methodology, technology, policies and strategies of technical (technology) education and related areas. It therefore we publish articles in the scientific fields of educational sciences, engineering, social sciences and interdisciplinary areas of science related to the technology education. In addition to original scientific papers, in the journal also publishes review articles, reviews, and professional papers that may contribute to the development of technical education in general.

The journal was founded in 2016 on the initiative of employees and associates at the Department of Polytechnic, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, Croatia. This journal was started with the aim of affirming the scientific and professional fields of technological (technical) education and teaching.
